Mixers/mixing tanks can be used in the production of chemicals, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics or foods. The requirements of these applications are different and the media used are different, so different mixing equipment is required.
The reducer is usually installed vertically on the mixing tank. In addition to transmitting torque, its task is also to absorb the axial and radial forces generated by the different requirements of various applications. When Flender reducers are used in mixers, these forces are absorbed by the output driven shaft and rolling bearings.
Sometimes it is also necessary to absorb larger axial forces. In this case, Siemens Flender can provide a solution using a reducer with an additional axial bearing.
