Flenders parallel twin-screw extruder gear units are available in various sizes with a power range from 200 to 35,000 Nm (single shaft) and a peak power of up to 20,000 kW. They are mainly used for granulation and compounding in the plastics industry, but also in the paint and varnish industry as well as in the detergent, food and animal feed industries.
Flender extruder gear units are an economical solution with a long service life and low maintenance costs.
Twin screw extruders
To absorb the high torques and axial forces during extrusion, extruder gear units with double power splitting and axial bearings have been developed. The bearings can consist of eight stacked axial bearings. Output torques of 200 to 35,000 Nm and wheelbases of 18.3 to 140 mm are achievable. In addition, we offer customer-specific solutions up to 20,000 kW.
