Beier® Cyclo® Infinitely Variable Speed Gearbox

Beier series product features:

  • Large load capacity:

Beier stepless speed reducer adopts different friction transmission composed of multiple thin friction discs, with many crimping points, low contact surface pressure, and ample load capacity.

  • Strong overload resistance:

Since the contact part transmits power in a state similar to fluid friction, even if some degree of overload occurs, there is no need to worry about the oil film being cut off and the metal contact state.

  • Long life:

The friction disc is made of special alloy steel with good wear resistance and high strength. There is always an oil film between the contact surfaces, so the friction disc wears very little and has a long durability.

  • High efficiency:

The crimping force and shape of the friction contact part are optimized to achieve efficient operation.

Power transmission path:

  • The power input to the input shaft ① in Figure 1 is transmitted to multiple spline shafts ⑤ (3 to 8) through gears ②③④, and then evenly distributed on multiple cone discs ⑥ (up to 88 per unit)

  • The cone discs ⑥ are interlaced and embedded between the flanges ⑩ installed in the middle, and they are always pressed with appropriate crimping force through springs ⑦ and plane cams ⑨.

  • The power is transmitted from the cone disc ⑥ to the flange ⑩ through the oil film, and then transmitted to the output shaft ⑧ through the plane cam ⑨.

  • ※There are two contact surfaces between a cone disc and the flange.

  • Automatic pressure adjustment method: The plane cam ⑨ design can always generate thrust corresponding to the load, thereby exerting appropriate crimping force on the flange.

  • The speed change operation is performed by entering and exiting the flange set ⑩ through the cone disc ⑥. At the same time, in order to ensure correct operation and maintain stable rotation, the connecting rod type speed change operating wheel shown in Figure 2 is used.

  • The closer the contact point of the flange is to the center of the cone, the lower the speed of the output shaft (Figure 3 at low speed).

  • The closer the contact point of the flange is to the outer circumference of the cone, the higher the speed of the output shaft (Figure 4 at high speed).
